Minecraft crashes when my device is not connected to wifi or mobile data

So there has been power outage in my city. All electric supplies are not powered including our wifi so i decided to play Minecraft on my phone. However, my Minecraft crashes whenever i opened it. When my phone was once again connected to wifi, my Minecraft started to work properly and not crashing, so then I figured that Minecraft crashes when my device is not connected to the internet. I even tested this by turning off the wifi on my phone and Minecraft kept crashing but by the time I turned on my wifi, Minecraft ran perfectly fine. Please fix this since Minecraft can be played offline normally
