Invisible Block

There is an invisible block that I outlined in the picture below, for which I have no explanation for why it exists. At first I thought it could just be a vine underneath the leaves... but there was no vine there. Im so confused

Edit:
After breaking the block, the particles below were emitted. Im guessing that this is just a bug with vines that are on the bottom side of blocks being invisible.
