Torches not emitting light

I'm sorta not surprised because I've had this glitch before when I used to play minecraft on PS3 back in the day but recently I'm on the nintendo switch and my character died i respawn in the game and none of the light sources are emitting any light as you can see on this photo. Glowstone, Redstone lamp, sea pickle, torches, sea lantern etc. I had to leave and reopen my world and it temporarily fixed this glitch.
