Can not find documentation on render engines/shaders

I'm an experienced mod developer who's been making third party content for Minecraft Bedrock Edition for over 2 years now. And I'd like to create some shaders for 1.16 that work on PC as there aren't any good ones out at the moment.

But when I look for documentation on shaders, the render engine, or anything that would be helpful, I get nothing. Where can I find documentation for this? And is there a general hub or list of different sources for documentation on Minecraft Bedrock Edition, that I can utilize in the future? I've been working mostly with servers, meaning I find documentation for the third-party server software on their own sites, but the documentation for Minecraft itself seems to be non-existent on the Bedrock platform.
