Unable to log into Microsoft account on PS4

I cannot log into my Microsoft account. I have attempted many of the suggestions in this ticket:
MCPE-58464

the current state is that it hangs while trying to sign in. screencap of this attached. I let it stay in that state for about 20 minutes before canceling.

I can log into my Playstation, Xbox Live, and Microsoft accounts on my laptop, and I used my logged in laptop to submit the connection code from the PS4 on aka.ms/remoteconnect

I play Minecraft Earth on my phone and never have login problems there.

In the time since I first got Bedrock on PS4 I have been unable to log in. I have been playing MC on this PS4 for several years.
