No working microsoft account multiplayer

My world is set to multiplayer in the multiplayer settings before loading and playing in that world. As soon as i join it, the settings have multiplayer turned off and unable to be turned on. My friends cannot join the world and ive tried to fix it but i am unable to turn the multiplayer on.
