(Realm) Players stuck in creative mode after latest update removing command exploit

After the latest update removing the command exploit to basically be in creative mode in a survival world there are players in my realm that are stuck in creative mode. Other issues I've noticed is that when you die you keep all items and experience. I'm sure there are other gamerules that were changed without my knowing. Is it possible to reset the gamerules without activating cheats and disabling achievements?
