My game freezes and crashes when I try to leave the game in 1,16,2

I am a player on the nintendo switch. When I first booted up the new 1.16.2 update, I played survival minecraft. After an hour or two I decided to do something else. But when I tried to log off, the game would just freeze. Please fix this because this is an annoying issue that I have in game
