Glitch after exactly 5 minutes of playing

I recently updated my MCPE on my iPhone 6 to the most recent update. After 5 minutes of gameplay exactly it always freezes and then kicks me out of the game. I have spent hours downloading and deleting the app. I have tried everything including freeing up storage and erasing the game. At this point I'm convinced it must be a bug. What can I do to fix this? This has only started happening recently 5 days after the 1.16.2 update rolled out.
