Lava does not negate fall damage

Falling from a big height into lava does not save you from death. It's not hard to reproduce. Just fall from a height that would kill you with fire resistance into a pool of lava and you'll die immediately. Just wanted to see if this was an unreported bug, or an actual mechanic for lava now.
