Stuck on Locating Server...

I am on a friend's private server, not a realm. I lost power while playing one night and after that, I can start up minecraft, but when I try to log into my friend's server I have been playing on for months, it just gets stuck on Locating server... We have tried everything. Nothing has worked. My friend who runs the server, even made a new server and I was able to join that. I can join public servers, but I can't join MY server. He even created a new server and copied our world over to the new one and I couldn't log into it. It's like my character file is corrupted somehow. No one else on the server is having the issue that I'm having. I put in a help question, but didn't receive much more than a scripted response about realms and doing all the things I already did to try to fix it. I'm attaching a screenshot of my initial query and the response. Please help me recover my character. He can't even kick me from the server. We've started a new server to try to keep playing together, but everything we've all been working for could be lost because of one person and that really stinks.
