Switch freezes when trying to close the software

After having downloading 1.16.20, I had issues closing Minecraft. The game worked fine, but as soon as I try to close the software, the entire system freezes. This normally lasts a couple of minutes, so I just force shut down the system. This makes it very difficult when I want to play other games.
