Reproducible crash when trying to log in to Live account after 1.16.20.03 update

The 1.16.20.03 update left all our family's iPads logged out of their Live accounts.  Two iPads logged in without challenge; one is crashing reproducibly at the login attempt.

Trying to log back in on this iPad: 

• click Sign In
• click either button (upload to microsoft account or leave on device), it doesn't seem to matter
• -> crash (SIGSEGV dereferencing a garbage address: 0xb000000011dec979, 0x0000000001000009, 0xc000000000000008 on the three crash logs I sampled)

The crash is always here in the "Xal" library:
