Unable to connect to world

When I try to join my friend's world on Minecraft, i get the message "Unable to connect to world." I've tried the following "solutions": restart game, restart computer, re-add friend, network troubleshooter, update network driver, internet connection reset, router reset, antivirus disable, firewall disable, internet ping check, UPnP enable, and internet explorer settings reset. Nothing worked.
