Game crashes seemingly randomly

My game occasionally crashes during gameplay. It doesn't appear to be linked to any in-game action or location as far as I can tell, and it boots right up afterward, but the game will momentarily freeze, then return to the MOJANG loading screen before crashing outright. This happens maybe every couple of hours.
