My friend and I are having trouble placing name tags on anything. This is my first time reporting a bug I play on minecraft bedrock 1.16 (Beta)

Clicking LT with a name tag in hand on an animal or villager will simply not apply the name tag but do other actions such as sit the animal down or go into the trading hub with the villagers. That is the extent of my knowledge in this bug.
