ps4 freezes on home menu screen

when i load up ps4 edition, it takes forever to load up (like 10 mins), and when it finally does it freezes on the screen with the play, settings, and marketplace button.  if i spam click X, it willl take me to the next screen but still freeze. the only way to get out is to close the application-i cant click anything or move after around 5 seconds.
