Controller Cursor and Item Name's Background non-existent

Using a controller, I am unable to see the cursor and when selecting an item in the inventory, the item name doesn't have a background like it's supposed to.

 

 

As seen in the image, I am using a controller and both issues arise. (Note that Hide Controller Cursor is disabled)
