Items from item frames and chests started disappearing for no reason

I’ve been noticing for a few days that items in my item frames were disappearing but I thought I’ve been accidentally hitting them or something but then items in my chest were going empty, I had a double chest half filled with bone blocks and bones and there was absolutely nothing there anymore and all my saplings are completely gone. I had a diamond helmet in an item frame and that disappeared too. I don’t know what’s happening but it’s making me scared to play Minecraft if my stuff is just gonna disappear and all my hard work is ruined.
