Cant join private servers

Dear Mojang, 

I have been experiencing issues with joining private servers on minecraft for nintendo switch. When I formerly played on pocket edition I could add servers but now it is just the default six. I would like to join my friends personal servers on console, their worlds work fine as well as the default servers, but there isn't an option to add servers. I would just continue playing on pocket edition but my system will soon be outdated. I hope it wouldn't inconvenience you to code the system of adding personal servers for nintendo.
