Minecraft believes that my XBOX account is a child account and wont let me join my Realms server

The game thinks that my Microsoft account is a child account and when I follow the steps in the message nothing changes. This is the second time that this happens and I had to create a family group to enable access to realms. Now that fix didn't work this time and I am out of idea. Any help would be appreciated.
