Minecraft PE on iOS problem

So when I try to play with my friend it says unable to connect for them. I'm wondering how to fix this and when I try to join their game they turn on their multiplayer, but when they join their world it turns off by itself. Please fix this problem I want it to be fixed so Minecraft can be worth buying.
