Shift-Click crafting with a full inventory

When I try to craft items with a full inventory by shift-clicking it will glitch-out. I will have 63 items in my inventory hand and I won't be able to put it down or throw it out. I had this issue when crafting a nearly full inventory of bones into bone meal or sugarcane into paper. I fixed it by logging out and then back in. I prevent it by not continuing crafting when I have a full inventory.
