Can’t join friend’s world

A few days ago i opened minecraft and my brother was on minecraft so i went to join him but at the top of the screen it said he was playing but it wasnt showing his world so i couldn't join.

I opened minecraft and wanted to join my brothers world but i couldn't.
On my minecraft it said that he was online (he was) but there was no way
For me to join
