when starting 1.16minecraft windows 10 it crashes just after the new red logo screen

when starting 1.16minecraft windows 10 it crashes just after the new red logo screen and returns to the shortcut.

this only happened after the update 1.16.

Tried reinstalling minecraft, no joy

tried fresh install of windows 10 to latest version with all updates, no joy.

Also minecraft works well on 2 other pc's with the same account.

any ideas?
