Villagers disappeared after game crash

My game has been crashing, quite often.  And when I load my game back in, I notice that villagers are gone from my villager hall.  Not despawned. Just outright gone.  I am on peaceful so I know it's not mobs, and I have the hall set up so they can not get out.  Most times I will have 10-12 villagers before the crash, and after I usually have 3-6.   But currently I am having to constantly make copies of my game just in case the game crashes so I don't lose all my villagers over and over.  Villager level does not matter as I have lost many novice, and MANY master level villagers. 

 This has been quite annoying and is starting to take the fun out of this because I have had to breed and level villagers numerous times .

 

The error code I am getting from my PS4 is 

  CE-34878-0

I am fully updated to version 1.16.1

I have been playing since approx June 1, but this error has been happening since approximately July 6. And more often the last few days.  Multiple times a day .

 

 

Please please tell me how to fix, or get an update.
