The redstone pulse is LARGELY extended

I updated minecraft to its latest one (for beta that is) and while messing with the redstone I quickly noticed that buttons and pressure plates stayed on for alot longer than they where suppose to. I don't know why its doing this but could you please fix this problem, it would help a lot!
