When opening the app on iPod touch 4th gen, the Mojang screen appears and then goes 10 seconds later

When opening Minecraft Pocket Edition, the Mojang logo appears for about 1 seconds. The screen will do nothing and then it will crash and return to the IOS home screen. This has only happened after the 0.11.1 update.
