Falling onto scaffolding doesn't negate fall damage

Step 1:
MAke a scaffolding tower. Should be tall enough to kill the player.
Step 2:
Jump off the scaffolding, then while you are falling, go towards the scaffolding and go inside it. You will die from fall damage, unlike ladders, weeping vines, twisting vines, regular vines, or other blocks you can climb. (This maybe is works as intended)
