Syncing user data screen sits on screen until it’s cancelled

Launching the game fresh, the syncing user data prompt appears and instead of popping up for a few moments like it used to it will stay there until I have to hit cancel. I’ve waited up to an hour and it will still stay on screen till I cancel it.
