Knockback enchantment weaker than before 1.16

The Knockback enchantment is suffering from a severe knockback distance reduction in 1.16.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1) Get swords enchanted with Knockback I and II

2) Hit a mob/player

 

Expectation: 

The mob/player gets knocked back by an additional (level*3) blocks.

 

Result:

The mob /player only gets knocked back by an additional (level) blocks.

Players don't get knocked back at all.
