Game moves me from safe log out location/time of day into danger and causes death

I start a new game and build a safe cave house, in some cases it includes a door, a crafting station, forge, and torch. I log out/suspend the game. When I log back in I am above ground and it is often night when it was day. This causes a mad scramble for safety or even death and is a very serious glitch. I have had this happen repeatedly but not every time.

Current seed is H2O or H20. It has happened 3 times on this seed and the third one placed me outside next to a creeper.

This has happened on many other seeds and on every update so far.
