While in a boat, you can't fall through the void in creative

I got this on the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini value edition.

Basically, if you are in a boat, then you drive with the boat to a hole through the void, you will begin to fall, then suddenly you stop and you can walk on an invisible floor. Also, there are some emerald ores instead of bedrock on the last bedrock level.
