PS4 Bedrock: Invite to game menu crashes

ever since the new version (1.16.1) came out for the bedrock version of minecraft, every time i open the invite to game menu on my playstation 4 it would crash the game. this is really annoying because i would like to invite my friends. i cannot provide a screenshot or screen recording of this since i cant report from the playstation and have to do this on a computer.
