Phantom dust particles sometimes linger for a very long time

Steps to reproduce

1. Spawn a lot of phantoms, get hit by them, and kill them.

Expected results

All of their dust trail particles disappear in a brief time.

Actual results

Sometimes phantom dust trail particles linger for a long time. When they do, they may also be abnormally large.

Just found a odd looking particle effect hovering in mid air. Straight after a phantom had hit me. Never seen this before.
