Ender Pearls Don't Teleport the Player After Relogging

If you throw an ender pearl, Save & Quit, and go back into the world the pearl will not teleport you. This issue affects Realms, servers, and singleplayer worlds.

 

Expected behavior: Ender pearls will teleport you even after closing or logging out of a world when you log back in. This behavior is parity.

 

Actual behavior: Ender pearls will not teleport you upon logging out and back in from a world.
