Skin "STEVE Infection" Bug

When using custom skins on multiplayer, the other player's skin is shown as Steve except your own skin. This also applies on other players with different devices, too. Sometimes, the skin also get "infected", changing your own skin to other player's skins. Very annoying. Also, no one chose their skins as Steve.
