Netherite Armour gone!

I was in my xp farm killing pigmen, one manages to drop down and kill me because I wasn't in the safe area. That was my fault. I had full set of netherite armour in my hotbar, and I was grinding xp for enchantments. I went back down to go get my stuff - all of it was there except my netherite armour!! I am certain that the pigmen didn't interact with it (why would they), but all my other loot was still there. I checked some nearby caves incase it had gone through a wall, but nope! My fresh, new, netherite armour with protection IV was GONE. Please patch this as I spent the best part of 3 hours just obtaining this.
