Overkill trophy not working

I'm currently going for platinum on ps4 and I finished every other base game trophy but when it came to overkill I could not get it to work I tried multiple ways using sharpness 5 and potions and other varying levels if damage to no avail. I see a few posts about this but it's ever been resolved, I also found a yt video uploaded 1 day ago also complaining about this. I'm annoyed that it looks like you guys just haven't bothered to fix this. I want to be able to obtain my platinum trophy.
