Game crashed and now I can't get back into it

The game updated yesterday and crashed once when I was playing by myself and I got back into the game fine. But later on when playing with my friends it crashed again and when I tried to go back into the game it gets stuck at the loading screen that just says "MOJANG STUDIOS". I've had the game open for over half an hour last night and now close to 20 minutes with still no change so I'm not sure if it's a loading issue or not.
