Minecraft 0.11.0 PE crashes after a few seconds on iPad gen 1

After MOJANG screen, game freezes and crashes. Tried reinstall on three different iPads. All do the same thing even with different user accounts. This is a horrid update because now I can only redownload the new version on all of them, which means the game is now worthless. Can I get a refund of my purchase price please?
