can't collect 2- tall flowers since yesterday's update

Prior to yesterday's update, I was harvestling in a flower forest. After installing the update, I can't collect any of the two block tall flowers- sunflower, rosebush, lilac, or peony. I have tried using shears, empty hand, and various tools. Please help!!
