Skins can't be download

When going to skins websites to download a skin when you go to Minecraft to change your skins it's said it this isn't a skin but I download the skin right. I seen others have this problem I think for iOS downloading skins are different than the android because for iOS it shows the skin but it's Very small and the download is mostly white!
