Crafting recipe for Quartz bricks not returning correct amount.

I think that the recipe for Quartz bricks is not returning the correct amount. I think it should return 4 instead of 1. Other brick recipes such as stone bricks or end stone bricks return 4 bricks (1 per respective block used).

 

Another reason why I think the recipe for Quartz bricks is not returning the correct amount is because in the stone cutter, you need 1 quartz block to make 1 quartz bricks, but in the crafting table, you need 4 quartz blocks to make 1 quartz bricks.
