No Blocks, Repeatedly Disconnecting from my world.

My younger sister is a holder of the windows 10 edition if Minecraft on her laptop. Tonight and all day we have been trying to get into a game to check out the new Nether Update. But every time she joined my game the whole world had no blocks, just all void, and soon after she would disconnect from the game.

Please help!
