Maps do not display player position correctly

When I move around on the map, including Treasure and Ocean Explorer maps, my player icon would be positioned on the map away from where I actually am in the world. For example, in the image, the map says that I am in a plains near a river, but I am actually near a swamp. The player icon rotates correctly, but moves across the map slower than usual. I've tried opening and closing the world and app, but the problem persists.
