Windows 10 edition mouse input bug

I started up Windows 10 edition after the new nether world update, only to find that my mouse usage (both touchpad and wireless) would either be ignored completely if I was even walking in-game (the touchpad) or would be intermittent altogether if I used my wireless ball mouse.  This only worked during in-game play, and as a result, I cannot actually play Minecraft whatsoever.
