Problem with the netherite armor

Okey so what happend is i had a sheild and armor netherite armor and what happend is taht i was crouched and i had full armor so i placed a bed it explode it to get more netherite but i died and wen i got there my stuff was burnt down some of it was fine but all my armor was burnt and is should have protected me from the blast  i worked hours for that and it was all lost in a second i am verry un happy i checked in the same spot for probably 15 minites and its all gone i even dug up the ground to find it and no luck ;-;
