No background music and Music Discs play but no sound?

I am currently playing in Beta edition 1.16.0 and My music hasn't been playing. I have my sound all the way up, same thing with my music, but nothing is playing. When I play Music Discs it's silent and background music doesn't play in the title screen nor in the game.
