Villagers Not Staying in Containment Cell made out of glass

I am using a realm and I am trying to contain villagers in a containment pod so they stay linked to a bed and profession. However, they will not stay in the pod anymore. They used to stand on top of the beds instead they are standing on a glass block one block above the bed. This starting happening after I updated to 1.16.
